Reports are back that the weekend was a success. A summary of the weekend's events is coming soon. In the meantime here are some photos!
Dear Troop Parents,
Our Scouting year is underway and we are excited that your youth is a part of the 1st Shelburne Scouting program for the 2017/2018 year.
This letter is to provide important information to you so you are consistently kept up to date and aware of meetings/events/communication, etc.
Without volunteers, our Scouting program would not exist. Our Scouters are 100% volunteer and we will do our best to ensure that we provide a quality program for your youth.
This year we have 18 Scouts. Over half of the Troop is new to Scouting or new to Scouts (moved up from Cubs). This is awesome – yet it can be challenging to ensure new Scouts learn skills required – while considering the Scouts who have been part of Troop for at least one year or more.
Below is a list of places you can look for updates/upcoming events/meetings/news/camps, etc. We encourage you to consistently look for updates as things may be changed due to weather/cancellations, etc.

As emails have a way of getting missed or moved down the list in our busy lives, we will try to keep email communication to a minimum this year.
Check your email consistently to ensure you have not missed any emails that have been sent out.

Dropping off/Picking up Youth
A friendly reminder that dropping off/picking up youth is each family’s responsibility.
We respectfully request that you are present to pick up your youth at least 5 minutes before the end of meetings being completed. This way we can wrap up and communicate with parents in a timely manner, so Scouters can return to their families.
Code of Conduct
If your youth has not yet completed and returned the Code of Conduct to the Contact Scouter, please do so by Wednesday, October 25th. It is very important that this document is reviewed with your youth and returned for our files.
Missed a Meeting - Forms/Information
If youth are not present for a meeting, parents are asked to contact the Troop Contact Scouter by email to ask if there was any information or forms they may not have received.
Thank you for your support and cooperation in ensuring we work together to make this year an enjoyable and memorable experience for the Youth!
